The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) market capitalisation fell by 11,71% last
month to $21,66 billion. In real terms, at yesterday's official exchange
rate of US$1: $11,38, the ZSE market capitalisation was valued at US$1,90

Street Grocery Traders Now Popular In Bulawayo

Streets vendors sell basic commodities from the pavement of a Bulawayo shop
on Wednesday, 4 September 2019. The country's established retailers are
concerned over the proliferation of street grocery vendors in Bulawayo, that
they may put the health of members of the public at risk by selling
uncertified goods. The street traders reportedly flood the streets after 4

RBZ Urges Citizens To Use Licenced Institutions To Buy & Sell Forex

The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) has urged members of the public to use
Bureau De Change and banks to buy and sell foreign currency. In a statement,
the Central Bank said: The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe wishes to advise the
public that the following institutions have been licenced to buy and sell
foreign currency as Bureau De Change in terms of Section 5 of the Exchange

Consumer Protection Bill awaits assent   

Consumer protection is set to take a whole new picture in Zimbabwe, with the
Consumer Protection Bill now only awaiting Presidential Assent. The proposed
Consumer Protection Bill seeks to enhance and ensure that consumers have a
strong legal recourse in cases where they feel abused by businesses.

IDBZ approves $269m worth of projects

The infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe (IDBZ) says it approved $269
million worth of projects under the Public Sector Investment Programme
during the half year to June 30, 2019. Inadequate economic and social

aspirations as industry fails to reach full capacity on infrastructure gaps.
