Harare- The ZWL lost 2.74% on the Dutch Auction market to ZWL108.6678 to the
greenback as  civil servants began accessing their US$ bonus payments and
November salaries. The estimated forex injection is upwards of US$50. The
accessibility of those funds have remained a big issue with most banks
seeing significant queues. The parallel rate has remained under pressure
with small volumes also moving to the ZWL195 band. It will be interesting to
see if the authorities can let rate go past ZWL110 with one auction  left in
the year.

 

The bid rejection rate was 27% on SME market and 22% on the main market.
There was however a 4% increase in allotments.
