Destined for Greatness: Your Tuesday morning Inspiration with Gerald
Chinogara 

 

It's in the face of fear, doubt and danger that our number one strategy
should be to turn struggle into strength. During tough times we are given
the chance to test out our wisest, bravest and biggest selves. A demand in
placed on our gifts and talents as we struggle to keep our dreams alive and
insulate our hopes against doubt. Currently most of us are struggling to
find joy, quiet and inner peace at a time of exponential noise, violent
uncertainty and widespread complexity.  At a personal level I've come to
realize that it is in the struggle that we are most alive. Rather than
wishing for easier days, perhaps we should be praying for greater strength.
If you were to ask me the one thing you could do to turn struggle into power
and paralysis into results, I'd say work on you; I mean your inner core. 

 

Fortunately, almost everyone has access to the one trustworthy source that
enables us to work on our inner core with efficacy. God's Word contains
daily power for our lives. It energizes and fulfills us if we stay plugged
in to the power by meditating on the Word and letting its power dwell in us
richly. In times such as these, it is important to take to heart that not
only is God our source of power, our wisdom for decision making, our peace
in the midst of stress, but that ultimately He is our leader. He knows what
opportunities await us if we'll trust Him. The hard part of this process is
that we may hold on to our desires or our dreams above God's, because we
think they are good. But are they best? 

 

As we understand more of who God is and watch Him work in our lives, we see
that He has our best interests at heart and desires the best for us. So will
we trust Him when we can't see what He can?  Strength, peace, meaningful
relationships, a whole heart, a purpose, and much more; God has these in
store for those who delight in Him and follow Him as heed in Psalm 37:4
"Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of
your heart." Use this period to build your higher self in God, whilst you
remake tragedy into triumph so that when this all ends, you will rise and
become even stronger and of more use to the building of a brighter world.

 

 

Gerald is an astute business leader, strategic marketer by profession and a
motivator by calling. Currently he is Head of Marketing & Alternative
Distribution Channels for Old Mutual Zimbabwe. He has over 15 years diverse
business experience at senior and executive management in leading corporate
companies in Zimbabwe.
