 <mailto:info at bulls.co.zw> The Zimbabwe Dollar was just 0.07% weaker versus
the greenback on the interbank market despite the widening gap with the
alternative market. 

 

Allotted bids were down 6% at USD41.97m vs US$44.76m in the prior week. 

 

The bids allotted have remained range bound despite the increase in the
tobacco exports which might be a reflection of the long held market
suspicions that export receivables were mortgaged to Afreximbank long back
for the various FX credit facilities that were received, a fact that has
also been confirmed by Afreximbank at its 2019 AGM held around July 2020

 

The alternative market  saw volumes trading at ZWL135 to the USD and odd
lots at circa ZWL130.
