Harare- The ZWL remained steady at ZWL105.7 to the greenback despite the
evident foreign currency shortages on the market. The Alternative Market
rate remained in the ZWL185-ZWL195 band depending on volume.

 

There were near record rejections with 34% of bids being rejected on the SME
Market and 40% on the Main Auction Market. The market will be watching
closely the RBZ's direction on the next 3 auctions with anticipation Auction
rate will likely close the year below ZWL110 to manage inflation
expectations.
