Datvest launches Modified Consumer Staples ETF

Datvest launches Exchange Traded Fund

CBZ Asset Management t/a Datvest, a division of CBZ Holdings will today list
its Modified Consumer Staples (MCS) Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) on the
Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE).

 

An ETF is an instrument offering a proportionate share in securities and
they trade on stock exchanges. 

 

ETFs are usually passive and open ended though few are actively managed.
This will bring to three the ETFs on the local market after the Old Mutual
ZSE Top 10 Index ETF and the Morgan & Co. Multi-Sector ETF.

 

The Datvest MCS ETF is being launched with an initial capital of ZWL70.5
million comprising 10 counters and 70.5 million ETF Units.

 

The Investment objective and Strategy is to provide investment results that,
before fees and expenses, closely correspond to the performance of the ZSE
Modified Consumer Staples Index.

 

The sponsoring broker and market maker is Akribos Securities. CBZ Custodial
Services are the Fund Custodians while Stanbic Bank are the Trustees.

 

First Transfer Secretaries are the other services providers alongside KPMG
Chartered Accountants and Mawere Sibanda Legal practitioners.

 

The value proposition for the Datvest MCS ETF include among other things
