Your morning Inspiration with Gerald Chinogara
What do you do when you're facing a giant, something so big that it appears
there's no way, or nothing that can defeat it? Have you ever felt helpless
to an extent that the situation appears as if you have no options and no
strength? With the current challenges besieging us it is highly likely that
on one or more occasions most of us have experienced this. In our everyday
life, self-dependence and self-sufficiency is applauded. However, in God's
economy, it is useless as we can neither save nor depend on ourselves. We
are going through a time when there is nowhere to look but up as the Lord
use hardship, isolation, and weakness to draw us closer to Him.
We're called to face any giant, to rise up and be strong in the Lord. We may
go through difficult challenges from time to time, but when we open our
mouths, we need to follow Joel 3:10, which says, "Let the weak say, I am
strong," it's our choice. Many of us hate to endure because we have the
interpretation wrong. Endure doesn't mean to cope with or accept. It means
"to make it through." David come face to face with a lion and a bear. It was
hand-to-hand combat, and he had the lion by the beard. Why did David react
like that? Because the lion messed with what belonged to David and as a
result, he was determined to protect his responsibility, his duty and
calling. The God ordained process always produces endurance, dependence, and
humility.
As God's children, we need to seek shelter under the shadow of the Almighty
because life's storms often put us in danger. We often fail to break from
the busyness that leads to burnout, which depletes our soul of joy. To rest
is an intentional position of the heart. Our redeemer wants to gather us
under His wings if we are willing as we remain secure under His wings. The
heavenly Father restores us and makes us strong. And after each renewing
under His wings, we are ready to take flight and soar until the next
renewing season. Let's resolve to remain under His wings for refuge, rest,
and renewal.
Invest Wisely!
