Destined for Greatness: Your Tuesday Morning Inspiration with Gerald

We are now living in a time where most people do just enough to get by. The
effects of the pandemic took away the zeal and drive for life from most as a
result of the loss many suffered. I know Covid-19 caught most of us
unprepared, but I can assure you that the pandemic was not a surprise to
God. It doesn't matter how dark and deadly your circumstances may be. There
is enough life in God's Word to totally overwhelm all the death that the
world or circumstances can bring you. 

 

God has given you His contract the Word. When you do your part by believing,
speaking and acting with a heart full of faith, God's Word will give you
victory. Forget the past failures and press into a new level of excellence.
Excellence is in our spiritual DNA. We're children of Almighty God who is
"excellent in power" (Job 37:23). Let us talk about someone who wasn't
content to do just enough to get by. Even as a captive living in Babylon,
Daniel did such a first-class job at everything he was given to do, that the
Bible says: "Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because
an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the
whole realm." Faced with extremely negative circumstances, he kept being
promoted until he was second in command under the king in spite of being in
captivity. 

 

Daniel's life teaches us that the pandemic should not be an excuse for not
being our exceptional best as this is just a passing season. Allow me to
draw you to Paul's words to Timothy: "Be ready in season and out of season."
(2 Timothy 4:2).  Serious athletes prepare all year-round for their season.
If they were to wait and begin preparing at the start of the sporting
season, not only would much time be lost but they would be at great risk of
suffering the consequences of loss. This is not different in this game of
life. 

 

We should not give excuses for our conduct or readiness despite our season.
To be a master of all seasons, settle forever in your heart and mind that
there is no fault in God. You will never get in a situation where you
exercise faith in God's Word and God fails to keep that Word. The Bible says
God is active and alert, watching over His Word to perform it (Jeremiah
1:12). Understand, however, that it's not enough just to know what the Word
says. It must be reality to you, more real than the problem you face.
Remember the choice is always yours to walk in the excellence of your true
identity and see yourself being promoted to the highest place available in
whatever sphere of influence to which God has called you.
