Global COVID-19 cases are rising, but deaths are declining, WHO says

(CNN) - Global cases of COVID-19 increased by 10% over the past week, but deaths are declining, according to the weekly epidemiological update from the World Health Organization published Tuesday.

Globally cases increased 10% over the past week to over three million new reported cases, according to the report. The number of new cases peaked in early January, then declined in the week beginning Feb. 15. They have now increased for the past three weeks.

All WHO regions have reported a rise in new cases apart from Africa.

New deaths have continued to decline, the report said. They are now under 60,000, down from a peak of over 95,000 deaths in the week beginning Jan. 18. The last time that deaths were this low was four months ago.

This week, deaths rose in two WHO regions: the Eastern Mediterranean and the Western Pacific.

Over 80% of the new reported cases and deaths come from the Americas and Europe.

Brazil reported the highest number of new cases – just over 494,000 – followed by the US, France, Italy and India.

Antifreeze Market to reach US$ 9,603.41 million by 2027: COVID-19 Impact and Global Analysis by The Insight Partners

Increasing Demand for High Performance Vehicles Augments the Antifreeze Market Growth

According to The Insight Partners new research study on the <https://www.globenewswire.com/Tracker?data=rvYdQKCoMXu_HULGOljT93KtMo2KZSoK_xxWkPWsMRnk6WHeWDOagTION9HrwyLzvv_wQsUxhXJnm34a-Zm5P2_DIqnZJKIFpLmJ5z5DOTI281oeW8linr9ZHtQVo0Tj3YvhWR88_qLAX0Q6Hltxow==> antifreeze market was valued at US$ 6,280.33 million in 2019, and it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.6% during 2020–2027 to reach US$ 9,603.41 million by 2027. Growing demand for high performance vehicles is anticipated to influence the growth of the antifreeze market. However, harmful environmental effects and fluctuating raw material prices are expected to hamper the market growth.

In 2019, Asia Pacific held the largest share of the global antifreeze market. The demand for antifreeze is expected to increase in the region due to various factors such as increasing spending capacity of the consumers, better living standards, and expanding industrialization. Another major factor contributing to the expansion of the antifreeze market in the Asia Pacific region is the growth in the automotive industry owing to the rise in the demand for automobiles. An upsurge in the construction activities also favor the growth of the antifreeze market in the region. Besides these, the growth in the mining activities and rise in the R&D activities conducted by the manufacturers also significantly escalates the market growth in Asia Pacific.
