Finding Success in seeking 

 

The month of November typically signifies that the year is now coming to an
end. This is the opportune time to take stock and evaluate how we have
faired against our plans. With what we have seen and experienced in the past
year or so, it is easy to get discouraged by merely looking at the deck of
cards life has dealt you with. You should not despair because God promises
to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus
when we ask, seek and knock. Most people wonder why God expects us to ask,
seek and knock when He already knows what we want. The answer is quite
simple as God understand that we take for granted things that we acquire
easily.

 

The more we must put effort into finding something, the more we value and
care for it. We need to grasp the truth that faith is active and not
passive. Faith is not about sitting still and not doing anything, as the
Bible clearly says that faith without works is dead. Faith is the language
of God's Kingdom and as we ask, seek and knock our patience, honesty,
perseverance and character are tested. The process entails discovering
strengths to cultivate and old habits to let go of as well as know things we
can do and things that are beyond our capabilities. As we journey on this
lifetime adventure, we will find people who are true to us whilst we gain
experience, wisdom and insight.

 

God won't require us to ask, seek and knock if there is nothing for us to
find in the first place; or if He hasn't provided us with what is good; and
if the door won't be opened for us. Sometimes God uses financial need to
test us, train us, or teach us. Sometimes He wants us to obey Him by giving
more of our time, resources, mind and love in ways that gives Him glory.
Other times He is leading us to do something different in our lives, and
this is the way He gets our attention so we will follow Him. God always
wants us to seek Him first before anything else, because when we do that, we
will receive all we need. As the curtain is slowly coming down on 2021,
commit to seek Him with all due diligence consistently so that even if 2021
and the prior years have not been good to you, He will make the years ahead
your best years ever for in Him the best for you is still to come.

Distribution Channels for Old Mutual Zimbabwe. He has over 15 years diverse
business experience at senior and executive management in leading corporate
